Launch Kit

Prepare your Launch Kit

Track every launch asset — copy, visuals, video, press — with owners, due dates, and status.

What launch assets to track

Track anything that has to exist before the launch goes live: landing page sections, screenshots, product GIFs, demo video, Product Hunt gallery images, press kit, founder photos, social cards, scheduled threads, reel scripts, and the internal brief for the team that will amplify the launch.

Asset statuses

  • Missing — not started yet.
  • In progress — actively being produced or reviewed.
  • Ready — final, approved, and linked.

Owner and due date fields

Every asset needs an owner — one person, not a team — and a due date that lands before launch day, not on it. If an asset has no owner, it does not get done. The Tasks module is for the work; the kit is for the deliverable.

File URL usage

The file URL field is for the canonical link to the asset — Figma, Drive, Dropbox, Loom, or wherever it lives. LaunchRoom does not host files. Make sure the link is accessible to anyone on the team who needs it.

Common launch assets

  • Hero copy and landing page sections.
  • Product screenshots and GIFs (light and dark).
  • 60–90 second demo video and a 15–30 second short.
  • Product Hunt gallery (cover, gallery images, first-comment copy).
  • Press kit: logo pack, screenshots, founder photo, boilerplate.
  • Social cards for X, LinkedIn, and OG image for the landing page.
  • Pre-written threads, posts, and reel scripts.
  • Internal brief for the team amplifying the launch.

How asset readiness affects launch readiness

The readiness score reflects how many assets are Ready, not how many are listed. Adding a row does not move the score; finishing the asset does. Missing or in-progress assets near launch day surface as the most likely reason a launch slips.
